AGA in conjunction with The Nigerian National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking In Persons (NAPTIP), hosted a one-day workshop on Human Trafficking Prosecution and Victims’ Fund & Protection in Calabar, Nigeria, on February 21st, 2017. At the invitation of the Attorney General of Cross River State, Honorable Joe Abang, AGA helped to carry out another knowledgeable and successful event. 75 participants from the local bar and government agencies enjoyed presentations by AGA representatives Gregory Ferbrache and Nathan Mutter and NAPTIP representatives Ijeoma Amugo, Peter Essien and Tolulola Odugbesan.

Honourable Justice Eyo Ita of the High Court of Cross River State commended AGA for all its anti-Human Trafficking efforts. He encouraged Nigerian prosecutors to learn from the interactive case study of the Victor Rax case by giving more time to extensive investigation before making an arrest, as this will help to ensure a successful prosecution.
